The Witching Way/ Royal Exchange Theatre, Studio, Manchester/October 2019

The Witching Way was a short rock-opera exploring the Pendle Way, a route that women accused of witchcraft were led along to their deaths in the 1600s. The show explored a modern day woman discovering the story of a 17th century woman being accused of witchcraft as she walked the Pendle way. The costumes evoked the characters of the flora and fauna that led the protagonist on her journey - the rowan tree, bull, bird and elm trees - whilst colliding contemporary and 17th century styling for the rock band's overall look.
