Beauty and the Beast / Theatre by the Lake /November 2018 - January 2019

In this production of Laurence Boswell's Beauty and the Beast the bizarre and wondrous world of the palace was conjured out of 19th century cabinets of curiosities. This dark, gothic design played upon the Victorian fascination with invention, freak shows and Mary Shelley's Frankenstein whilst also allowing the ensemble cast to use these objects of curiosity playfully to create the magic of the palace.
